Scope of Services: Recreation Areas |

| | The impacts to natural resources by proposed recreation sites can be quite divergent. On one hand, sports complexes having many soccer and/or baseball fields require relatively large, intact, usable tracts of land. The permitting effort for sports complexes therefore is largely commensurate with site plan intensity and the extent of natural resources on the site. On the other hand, recreation areas with hiking, biking, and equestrian trails have intrinsic site plan flexibility, and the level of impacts to natural resources and permitting effort is comparatively low. ERS understands the site plan requirements and permitting efforts inherent to the full array of recreational land uses. Our services include: - Perform field studies to characterize wetland and other noteworthy biological resources.
Assess existing resources and predicted impacts, and develop mitigation alternatives if resources are to be impacted.
Prepare appropriate text for grant applications for entities such as the Florida Communities Trust.
- Work with planners to minimize environmental conflicts while maximizing permitting opportunities.
Assist the project team in the preparation of required management plans.
Propose enhancement of degraded resources.
Establish trail routes and prepare interpretive text with informational placards.
